I have researched the name MOAG which sometimes has the variations you suggest. They were
Presbyterian, and sometime, church of Ireland.

Subject: [PAGENWEB] MACK/MOCK/MAC/MOC/MOCH/MAUCK/MAUK, John or Johann
John or Johann Mack or variation thereof
born 1750 Ireland? Emigrated to the US 1770.
Married prior to 1781 Mary/Maryann/Mary Ann
or Ann McBride of PA. Son James born 1781
possibly Somerset Co.
Can anyone help with this family. I would like
to find where in PA John married? Are there
church records available anywhere as I do not
know what denomination this family was.
James married 1st (?) unk??? Married 2nd
1825 Catherine Grauel/Graul/Growall. Seems
that he would not have waited until his early
40's to have been married a 1st time? Any
help out there?
