Tammy,
have you tried looking for probate records in Lancaster County for
everyone with the HEISER surname. perhaps if his father died there Peter (and
possibly his mother) would be mentioned in a probaate record.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this! I have been researching my family tree and
have run across a snag. I am trying to find information on Peter HEISER, b.
1817 (+/- 2 years) in lancaster County, PA, d. 1892 in Carlisle, Cumberland
County, PA. I know his wives were: Elizabeth Martin, whom he married in
Dauphin County in 1840, Margaret Rexroth who he married in 1856 in
Harrisburg and his third wife, Susan Snyder in his later years. (I have all
the specific dates, etc). I have checked into the marriage information to
determine his parents but it doesn't tell. I have checked Ancestry.com and
have narrowed down census "possible fathers" and tried to research them but
haven't gotten anywhere. I have also tried his pension files from when he
was in the Civil War but was unable to find parental information. I haven't
found a birth certificate or baptismal certificate in Lancaster County,
either. I have checked for a death information but it didn't list any
relatives. He has a son Peter Martin Heiser, and a few others. I just
don't know what else to do to determine the parents of Peter Martin Heiser.
I have also done lookups. NO luck. HELP! Thanks.

Hi Liza:
This Thomas Francis, Pittsburgh is a long way from Thomas F. Frost, Jr born in Philadelphia, Pa-that's me. But I can suggest Ancestry.com
Sorry, Tom
I'm helping my friend get a start on his Donahoe and Stack family
tree.
1 Thomas Francis Donahoe
b: 06 December 1873 in Ohio
d: 31 July 1946 .
+Anna M. Unknown
b: 23 July 1875 in Ohio d: after 1930
........... 2 Helen Donahoe b: Bef. 01 March 1902
........... 2 Alice Donahoe b: 01 March 1902 in Ohio
........... 2 Anna Mary Donahoe b: 01 January 1904 in Pennsylvania
........... 2 Lucy Donahoe - b: 04 August 1905 in Pennsylvania
........... 2 Unknown Donahoe 1905
........... 2 John Joseph Donahoe b: 28 February 1908 d: Abt. 1967
............... +Hannah E. Stack b: 18 July 1912 in Pennsylvania
m: 31 May 1937 in
Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania
d: Abt. 1975 in
Pittsburgh
I know there are several Donahoe families in Pittsburgh - and I don't
know if they
are related at this time. Thomas Francis was a track supervisor with
the Railroad
in 1930. The daughter Anna was a stenographer, and son John a Clerk -
both for
the Railroad.
How many railroads were in Pittsburgh at this time?
I've never done research in Pittsburgh so I would appreciate knowing
about any
web sites or libraries or other facilities you all use for research.
I have all the census
sheets for this family. It looks like they are living at 428 Mansion
Street? in 1930.
The handwriting is hard to read, so if someone could figure that out
for me, that would be great.

If anyone is working on this family, it would be great to hear from
you.
Thanks for your help,
Lisa
