Hi Folks!!!
I was so pleased to read of the compliments accorded Luzerne and Northampton
Co. Coordinator Tammy Lamb coming our way via PAGEN mail. I, too applaud all
of the time she has given to the furtherance of genealogical research (and not
just through GenWeb) in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I am proud that she is
literally a cousin of mine.
Re: the bylaws stuff, I have attempted to stay out of the fray not because it
doesn't interest me, but I am too damned busy keeping the Centre County web
site current and am in a mini-tiff with the local genealogical society
president over making previously unpublished church records available on
internet. Also, unlike Kathy Dix <wink>, I am planning to do some of MY own
family line research very soon... and will be taking a 3-week hiatus (June
22-July 9) from county coordinating to go to Berlin, Germany, where I will be
at a Symposium on the 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift (in which my dad
flew 147 missions). I believe it's critical that we get out and see how the
rest of the world lives.
