How do you all feel about queries listed for persons who are supposedly still
alive?
My first impression of this was that you are researching ancestors who are no
longer alive, but then finding out about a cousin or someone you just found
out about who is related and might have information for you does have merit.
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I've had a vague feeling of discomfort about
listing information about living persons. Threat of litigation, invasion of
privacy, a whole bunch of like thoughts about doing such in today's society
when we're trained to be suspicious; maybe I've just been too well trained.
:-(
Anyhow, I need some other points of view on this. I don't want to do a
disservice to the patrons of the Monroe County site by not including such
queries, but neither do I want to run into problems for having posted
information on an individual who, for whatever reason, doesn't want their
info/names/whatever made public. Make sense? Feedback, PLEASE. :-) - Terri
