I do have a page online for Poor House information in Somerset County. We have
the 1860 census for the Poor transcribed as well. Little information is known
of the early poor house but it was once called the Somerset County Home and
later became the State Hospital (something tells me many Poor Houses were also
used as asylums). It is now part of the prison system in the county.
