Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I wish to point out Sara Anderson is in Berks and is not on the main
county page for PaGenWeb. Let's not forget her - she's hiding in the shadows

At this point, I would like to hear from Gary before proceeding further,
but as both Carol and Nate have protested against the existing election, I
personally believe that we should hold a new electin. I have no authority
however to make a decision like that. I do have an alternate voting
mechanism built now should it prove necessary to redo the election, but
again, this is not my call.
Gary, could we hear from you, please, on this?
At this point, according to my records, we still have not heard from the
following people for the roll call:
Wayne Brumback Bucks
Michele Nissel Elk, Cameron
Don Varner Cambria
Richard Harvey Crawford, Lawrence
Jeff LaMarca Erie
Wayne Greene Greene
Leslie Kammerdiener Indiana
Michael Hebert Mercer
Frances Morrison Montgomery
Pat Smith Westmoreland
Mary Harris
Chester and Delaware counties
Elections Committee
Mary Harris, how many counties did we finally hear from?
Is there a final list of who responded?
I assume the vote is still good and we will hear who the new SC is on Aug. 1?
Sheila
Can anyone tell me the status of the election? I was wondering what the
plans were for starting over - if any? Or are we proceeding as though
nothing happened??
Thanks!

William Major TOY was taken to the McAllister's funeral parlors.
Does anyone know if McAllister's is still in existence?

Hi
i have to agree with Nate here, there is no reason to move the list for now.
If however, rootsweb, made it difficult for PaGenWeb to work as an
autonomous group then yes it would be considered and the best fit found.
As for the server - while I don't agree people should be kicked off especially
off
their state lists - I do feel we should understand it is their server.
Do we actually pay for this mailing list? If not then ownership is highly
questionable. It is ours in the sense we use it and utilize it. But own it?
That's hard to answer.
I think the SC should be left the decision who to ask to leave. Since the CC
works
with the SC to make the state accessible, it should be their decision. At the
very
least the SC should at least be contacted prior to the CC's usage denied.
I also believe we should behave and use a certain degree of netiquette. while
we may
think we only offending one individual others may be equally offended.

I clicked on a URL that was sent to me but I don't know which one. As I
vaguely remember it, two emails came in back to back and I read and
clicked one of the URLs. As Carol said, nothing indicated that they
weren't generic. I'm sorry if I inadvertently caused a problem. I voted
on the site only once and did not get a confirmation.

Hi Ed,
I did pass my url on to Clare -- now that i think about it -- it was just to
her.
Regarding my time in the votebot system, I used the url in my own message
and never submitted anything through the system. I clicked on the other
links that give you general information about the votebot system only.
I never entered my email address.
