On the 1790 Orangeburgh District, South Carolina census there is a Bland
Blakeley listed next to my Dionysius Blakeley. On that census the name is
spelled Blackley. On that census he has one son and three daughters. I have
no records of this family after 1790 but believe they are connected to mine.
Is there anyone that has any more recent info on this family?
Bland appears to be on a 1785 Wilkes County, Georgia tax list with one poll
and 200 acres.
Both Bland and Dionysius Blakeley served in the 3rd South Carolina Regiment
during the Revolutionary War.
