I am still trying to prove who Christena Holton (HOLETON) parents are. She was born 1819 in New Jersey. She married Adam Bigger on 25 Dec 1838 in Mercer Co., Ohio. In the 1840s, the family was living in Greene Co. Ohio. They also lived in Miami Co, Ohio, Macon Co., Illinois, and Sumner Co., Kansas. Some say that Christina is the daughter of Nicholas Holeton, who died in 1832 in Muskingum. I would appreciate any suggestions or help you can give me. teacups3(a)yahoo.com
We are now less than two weeks before our list ends. I have been in
conversations with Donna Kinney about continuing the daily posting of
obits for the Zanesville Times Recorder. Many of you may not now she
also does this for Perry and Morgan counties as well. We have talked
about a Facebook group being created that will continue the daily posts.
It would be a private closed group so only those subscribed would get
the posts and no one would be able to post themselves. It would just be
to provide a vehicle for continuing the obits not for genealogical
discussions as there are other places to do that like the Rootsweb
Message board and the Muskingum Genealogy Facebook page and the
Genealogy Society's Facebook page.
What we would like to know is how many OHMuskin list subscribers would
subscribe to this Facebook group or have suggestions on another way to
continue the obit posts. There are other list admins creating lists on
other platforms but I am not going to do that. I will remain admin of
the Muskingum Rootsweb message board and Genweb website but I have been
admin of this list for almost 20 years so it's time to let someone else
have the fun.
We have limited time to discuss this so chime in now while the list is

His family was in the 1850 census in Knox Co, IL. Their children are Elizabeth, William, Mary, Rosana, John, Virginia, and James. In 1860 the family was in Bourbon Co. KS. They were living in Putnam Co., MO on the 1870 census. He died after 13 Sept 1870 and before 5 June 1880. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me. teacups3(a)yahoo.com
