I asked last June (and was answered):
>> > Is it now US/OHGenWeb policy that all Archives are only
>> > accessible by search engine?
Holly answered on Aug 19th:
The above simply isn't so.
But it -was- so when I wrote the message two months ago. You are replying
to a message which was already answered and discussed on this list. I have
no idea why Martha thinks such an old message deserves a reply or comment
when all the conditions which prompted the message have been changed.
A lot of repair and other 'fixing' can happen in two months. I'm glad
things have been reparied now that were a legacy from the previous file
manager. I had no idea there was any problem with how Darke Co. was
'installed' but kept getting complaints that my URL didn't work [and it no
longer did because I tried what I had always used and that URL was suddenly
non-existent.] Moving URLs without informing those concerned is poor
publicity for a project like the Archives. Since the URLs didn't work, I
removed them from my pages.
Holly, thank you also for the new URLs and explanations which the Ohio
Archives Manager failed to report to the CC in June. They are appreciated,
but much too late. I no longer link to the Archives. I have contacted
submitters and made other arrangements.
