As of last week, the voting procedures that won were;
- A vote must be open for a minumum of 10 days.
- Each elgible person gets one vote per person. Eligible persons
include county coordinators, county co-coordinators, assistant county
and state coordinators, special projects coordinators and state
coordinator.*
- A person must be subscribed to ohgen-l when the vote
is announced to vote.
- The votes will be counted by two individuals.
*The outstanding issue was whether the county volunteers were elgible
to vote, as the vote was split evenly on this issue on the first
round.
Well guess what folks, it still is. To break the tie, I asked the
15 people who had voted for the "one vote per county" option to vote
on whether county volunteers were to be included. Twelve of them sent
me votes, 6 said Yes, 6 said No.
So I'm going to let the vote of the county volunteers, the segment of
the project effected by this issue, in this ballot, decide the
issues. Based on the fact that only one volunteer voted, and that
was a No vote, it appears voting is not desired by the county
volunteers. Therefore, I declare that county volunteers are not
elgible to vote.
