Subject: [OHGEN-L] RE: Update on Bride Index Project & Phase2
I think I may have asked the wrong question.
*** Nope I just read a different rendition/interpretation
What I was questioning was whether it was appropriate for the
OHGenWeb
project to support Mr Marlin by passing along, for example, e-mail
addresses, which he -could- collect himself if he wanted to.
*** I do not feel that it is appropriate for OHGenWeb to support any
professional project. That is why I was asking for some feed back soon on
the idea. I appreciate all that have given their ideas!
I was wondering if by your giving him our e-mail
address, we were then obligated to help him.
*** Absolutely NOT! No one can obligate you to do anything you feel is not
in your best interest.
Are you now the listowner, too?
*** Last I knew, I was.
Are you allowed to
sleep <grin>???
*** Sleep? What's that????
I feel you should censor for us what is not genealogical in any way:
SPAM,
the irrelevant, the lewd & lascivious, etc. <grin>
*** Wally, you are taking all the fun out of the job!! <VBG>
I had no problem with your sending the Bride's Index post to the
list. I
was questioning what our response to it should be.
*** I am aware of where your question really was, but at the same time I was
questioning if maybe I was sending toooooo many things to the list. As to
what your response should be. I can't make that decision for anyone else but
myself. I feel the group has presented a very good response and I am glad
for the direction it took. I can in the future indicate how I feel about
things I post, but everyone still needs to read things through and make up
their own minds.
