Hi Maggie,
Just a question, not a judgement!!!
Why did this end up on the OHGenWeb list when Ohio is not mentioned?

Subject: [ARCHIVES-L] Manassas Cemetery Burials
------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi All,
Well, I have completed the formatting of the files and have uploaded
them to the Fauquier County, VA portion of the Archives. (Though the cem
is called Manassas Cemetery, it is actually located in Warrenton which
is in Fauquier- not Prince William County, which is where Manassas
actually is). You all can either link to the appropriate file for you
state, link to all of them, grab the ones you want and upload to your
states. Whatever you prefer.
For anyone who missed my first note on this, these files come from lists
found in an old, dusty drawer at the National Archives. These burials
are for previous unknown Confederate soldiers. The list includes 510
names. The bulk of the soldiers were from SC and GA. Some of the other
state's list are tiny, some moderate - all valuble, IMO. The Staff list
includes only one name.
The breakdown goes like this:
Alabama - 36 names
Georgia - 136 names
Florida - 5 names
Louisiana - 19 names
Mississippi - 80 names
North Carolina - 18 names
South Carolina - 129 names
Tennessee - 13 names
Texas - 40 names
Virginia - 49 names
The files are located at the following URLs:
