Please, folks, let's put this into perspective.
I, for one, support Mr. Richmond. Here are my reasons:
1) Link changes are a part of web life. Live with it. If you have
500 links to the same site, in 500 different files, consider
changing the way in which you design your site.
2) We are not the ones who have to update the state page. Allen is.
If ANY particular host site is too much trouble to deal with for a
certain person, they should be able to move their site. The
project does not dictate where any county site has to be - and
it does not dictate where any state site has to be. No one but
the site maintainer - in this case, Allen - has the right to
say where any site will live.
3) If the change had caused disruption in the flow of information,
I might have been concerned. However, there are not duplicate
OH sites - the old one was completely replaced with a page that
clearly points to the new site. There is no room for confusion.
No links are immediately and irrevocably broken. Hence, in my
opinion, no problem.
One reason we have an SC is for guidance and leadership. If
a major issue appears that we need to vote on, so be it. But
disagreeing over a link change? Extrapolating that all future
decisions will be made without discussion? I think we can be
more constructive than that.

soon.
My question is this Why?
Why was we all consulted?
