I normally keep my big mouth shut on these types of matters - but here goes
mouth and probably foot.
First off - I think the design on the new OHGW site is great - easy to
navigate and easy to load. Good job, Allen. Looks like great things ahead
for the OHGenWeb!!
I remember when the OHGW site was moved to Rootsweb - we were not asked then
and shouldn't be asked now about a move of the site - as long as we are all
notified of the change in the url - in which we were. I didn't have to ask
permission to move my site from Geocities to Rootsweb and don't feel the
state SC should have to ask either.
As for thinking that we should have been consulted for a site move - sites
move daily - that's part of the 'net. The SC is our representative and has
to maintain the site - so what ever is easy for them is fine with me. I
trust Allen's judgement on what's best for the OHGenWeb - in trivial matters
such as this.
Some much for my 2 cents - keep up the good work - Allen.

[NOTE: I was going to wait until I calmed down before I posted but so
be
it.] MY PROBLEM IS NOT WITH THE FACT THAT THE SITE WAS MOVED BUT WITH THE
FACT THAT A PERSON THAT WAS ELECTED OUR SC (and was supposed to represent
us as a whole which includes asking our opinions before voting on the
majoritys choice), THAT SAME DAY ARBITRARILY MOVED AN ESTABLISHED STATE
SITE WITH NO WARNING OR DISCUSSION. THIS IS VERY INCONSIDERATE! I thought
we elected an SC not a dictator. Is this what we are to expect from you in
the future?
I hope you plan to leave that redirection page there for a while because
I have 500+ pages to change and it will take a while as I have
other committments that have to get done first.
