Rootsweb also hosts other county sites for other projects or for
independent sites and the url's are not always in the ~oh123456 format
anymore. When a second space is provided for the same state/county it would
be the first five letters and then a number 2 ... the next one getting a 3
and so forth, although offhand I don't know of any combinations with more
than 3 spaces for the same county/state.
For example:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyharlan/ is an independent site for Harlan
County, Kentucky
http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyharla2/ is an AHGP county site for Harlan
County, Kentucky
http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyharla3/ is the USGenWeb/KYGenWeb county site for
Harlan County, Kentucky
