Robert,
If you do not object to the banner, then that's fine. You can leave things
as they are. Yours is the first that I've seen that's just a footer,
though.
One thing in life that you can count on is that things will change. So it
is with Rootsweb. And some TGN changes have worried or angered many of their
users. And I do believe that they have more changes planned.
The only advice I can give is to keep a copy of your site on your computer
so that if they do something that you don't like, you still have your work
and can take it elsewhere.

Dale, my Delaware Co.home page actually has a (footer) masthead, small, out
of the way and doesn't bother me at all. Do you think TGN will try to mess
with my page as it presently stands.

Just created a separate cemetery/memorial links page, it also has the TGN
logo at the bottom.

The masthead should appear instantaneously.
I have already uploaded that file for some CC's - if anyone else is
having problems, if you will send me your login info (privately, of
course), I'll install the file for you.

Hi,
I have just put my banner_select file up again. I looked at
it, and my CuteFTP makes an HTML page skeleton and I had put my
USGENWEB in that, making it an HTML page. Now I have taken out the
code for HTML, body, title, etc. The file size is 8. I think I have
done everything right, but it still has the regular banner. Maybe it takes
awhile
for it to "compute?"
