Hello everyone;
I have to say something about this. There is a more professional way to save newspaper
clippings. I just started a new hobby called scrapbooking and there is a product out on
the market for such protection. Its called Archival Mist.
I contacted the company and they told me that the product is being used by the library of
congress in the restoration of some 70,000 + books. Way back in the 1980's the
Library of Congress realized thant they had a major problem with acidic material.
Newspapers and books have a by-product in them called lignin. She told me that this
product has been tested to extend the life of paper up to possibly 500 years. Their web
site is

Stamp Collectors use the product but I would first try a sample on anything before using
any product. Its spendy $45.00 a bottle but worth its weight in gold if it will extend
the life of my precious documents. Check it out.
Warmly,
