Daryl,
I have to agree with Don & Peggy. I also think that your worrying about
something that is just not there. More times than often organizations set up
committees to hammer out the details given to them through recommendations of a
large body of individuals and put it into written form. Then it is
resubmitted to that large body of individuals to review, revise and/or add. It is my
understanding that this is what Sandy wants and that she has no intention of
excluding anyone, but needs it to be organized in some fashion. A committee
can do this and usually is the reason organizations and corporations set
them up anytime their are major changes to policies. I think we need to just
give it a try, let the committee get ideas from all the CC's in their region,
come together and set up some guidelines based on a common sense of rules.
Then give it back to the CC's for review and eventually a final vote. It isn't
going to get done unless it is organized by someone. Based on the archives
on this very subject, that was one of the problems, it never really got
organized, therefore it never got done. This may be the way to do it and I for one
am certainly willing to give it a try. It has always worked anywhere I have
been in the past.
