GUIDELINES COMMITTEE WEEKLY REPORT,
for the week ending July 13 2002
===
State Coordinator Guidelines: The Guideline Committee approved
the following proposed changes to the State Coordinator guidelines.
State Mailing List:
An email list, or a reliable substitute, will be maintained by each
state for the purpose of circulating state and USGenWeb
Project news and business, such as but not limited to motions
passed, election news, proposed bylaw amendments. The
purpose of this guideline is to assure all USGenWeb Project Local
Coordinators are made aware of the business of the project and
have equal opportunity to voice their opinions to other Local
Coordinators of the state. The State Coordinator or designee will
periodically assure all state Local Coordinators are being informed as
provided by this guideline.
State Coordinators Mail List:
All State Coordinators are required to join the State Coordinator
mail list. Send an email to the National Coordinator to be added
to the State Coordinator mail list.
[the link to the NC in the above paragraph has been removed because
it is subject to change each year and because each SC has access to
the Who's Who page]
===
The Committee is currently discussing the following State Coordinator
guidelines.
The USGenWeb Project logo:
To assure identification with the USGenWeb Project it is being suggested
that
the logo appear on the upper section of the State home page.
Periodic monitoring of county pages:
Present wording is less than definite and discussion is taking place
concerning
SC or state committee surveying county pages twice yearly to assure
compliance
and current work on the county web sites.
