Dale,
I hadn't explored this resource fully myself, so wasn't really sure if there was
anything useful or
not, but thought the digitization sounded promising.
I had glanced through the many links on my Hamilton Co OH Links page
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohhamilt/links.html before I posted Friday.
Mostly inherited from before my time, although at least once a year I try to check each
and weed out
the bad ones. Often when I doing that, I find new ones as I'm searching to see if a
bad link may
have changed servers (searching google). The page above is a bit heavy (too many links)
some with no
connection to Ohio, much less Hamilton Co. But, I often recall my own early days on the
internet and
not knowing where to look........
Any, with that said, I just glanced again at the page & perhaps have found another of
overall Ohio
interest (if you list some of these, then I could just link to your page for general Ohio
links &
not have to maintain the links on my page <grin>)
http://www.morganohiolibrary.com/
Perhaps it's time to do my annual check of that page & I'll send your way any
others I think could
be included on the state page.

Thanks, Linda. All have been added except for the State Library. I
have
sent an e-mail asking to be kept abreast of their progress with the
digitization. Right now they have no genealogical info on the site.

Dale,
First, I agree with Cynthia, that the links to those counties which have
remained with rootsweb should be corrected to the
www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohxxxx page. It is my understanding that the
redirect on rootsweb/ancestry will be indefinite, but you may as well
correct it now, esp. if you also are going to be using a redirect.
As to "ideas of something that should be included that has not been included
before", I would suggest the following links from the State pages as they
apply to the entire state and not just a single county:
Ohio Death Certificate images available with password access at Family
Search Record Search
http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html
Ohio county formation maps
http://www.myohiogenealogy.com/oh_maps/oh_cf.htm
Also, I think years ago we had a page that listed by county when they were
formed and the parent county. I think that would be helpful and could be
created again using the information on the above website. It's interesting
to note going through the county formation maps that in the beginning parts
of other states (IN & I even think MI?) were formed from Ohio counties. For
a few years, my Hamilton Co. covered a very large area. Unfortunately
Hamilton Co. suffered 4 courthouse fires and many documents no longer exist.
But, I do believe the land records were untouched.
State Library of Ohio
http://winslo.state.oh.us/index.html I haven't
entirely gone through the
site myself, but find it of interest that they are intending to place online
digitized Ohio state documents which could be of value to the genealogist
and/or historian.
Ohio History Central
http://www.ohiohistorycentral.org/index.php
Just a few, may have more :-) But, I think the Ohio Death Certificates which
are online will be of the most interest to anyone researching OH.
