Sandy,
His grandfather was "Andrew Jackson Learned" not Smith. There could be a couple
of obits ordered
from the Columbus Library on the "Learned" family that might yield something
easier than searching
the Smith family.
William Andrew Smith could very well be still living today. Who knows where?
I've tried looking for Mabel via
ancestry.com, Oh death's etc. and even the Family
search site for
Ohio death certificates.............. I also have a subscription to
GenealogyBank.com
& Footnotes. ,
neither place can I can an easy handle on William, parents or siblings.
It will take more digging.
Linda

Thanks for trying Chryl. We found out that he was born in 1916 and
that
his mother was Mabel F. (Learned) Smith and his father was F. E. Smith.
His grandfather was Andrew Jackson Smith and they all lived in
Millfield, Athens county, Ohio until 1940 accept that William's father
died before 1920.
Anyone with obit access on ancestry can you check for Mable or Mabel F.
Learned Smith?
Thank you!
Sandy
