Once again, there is no bias in the way the call for voting was worded.
There is bias in the recent message.
Once again, discussion time has ended. That means no more discussing.
What Scott has stated is not what we are voting on. We are voting on his
Motion to Object. He has stated his objection and I have stated my
reasoning. Further politicking will not be acceptable. Explaining the
reasoning for your vote is not acceptable. A simple "Yes" or "No" is
all
that is acceptable.

Subject: [OHGENWEB] Proper Statement of the Motion to Appeal
***************
A yes vote will sustain the State Coordinator's decision to end the
discussion of the previous motion on a date of his own choosing, skip the
vote on ending discussion, and skip the vote on the motion.
A no vote will overrule the State Coordinator's decision.
***************
This vote has nothing to do with the committee, which was never referenced
in my appeal except in a brief reference. So Dale's original description at
the very least is poorly stated and therefore confusing. It also leaves out
two of the three points I made. The above is a much more accurate way to
present my issue.
"It is the duty of the presiding officer to state every motion as correctly
and clearly as possible even though it may be necessary to change the
wording of the motion. The meaning of the motion, however, cannot be
changed, without the consent of the proposer. If the presiding officer makes
an error in stating a motion, or if there is a difference of opinion as to
the exact wording of the motion, the motion as stated by the member is the
legal motion." (Sturgis, p. 14).

This is time for voting, not for discussing the motion.

I object to the way it is worded. It should be clear what is being
voted on and the wording should not be biased.
But, to get this over without further argument, but to be clear what my
vote
is:
I am voting NO to sustain the decision of the chair which decision was
to not allow discussion to be ended properly. Chair's decision is here:
http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/OHGEN/2008-11/1227916927
This does not mean that I would necessarily want to continue discussion
on the motion to form a committee, just don't understand why we can't
follow the rules we have in place!!!
Happy Holidays all!
