I know this is not a lot of help, but right now Rootsweb is saying Query
Express will work. It's the Surname Helper, that indexes those queries,
that they are removing.
Many think Query Express won't be around long after they remove Surname
Helper. Time will tell.
I am hoping that whoever is trying to work to get Surname Helper running
somewhere else will be successful.
For now, all you need to do is change the setting on your Site Manager Page:
To change your indexing program, please do so at the Surname Helper
Site
Manager Utility
http://surhelp-bin.rootsweb.com/sitemgr.pl. This option
will not be available following the elimination of Surname Helper until
USGenWeb offers another solution.

I'm lost....how do I change the method of getting my queries now? This is
what I have now --
<form method=post
action=http://qexpress.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/query.cgi>
<input type=hidden name="profile_name" value="ohbrown">
Please what do I do differently? This system has worked so well for me and
I simply don't have time right now to learn an entirely new method. HELP!
Thanks,

Hi Rachael,
RootsWeb.com is in the process of discontinuing the hosting and
maintenance
of Surname Helper.
We do understand that Surname Helper is an intricate part of Query
Express.
