Hi Rachel,
I continue to use CCH without any difficulity. The only thing that I have
noticed is that now that the database has grown to a healty size, it takes
as long as 8 to 10 minutes for the program to build (or rebuild if you will)
the new HTML language. I have a fairly fast machine (450 Mhz), and it still
takes that long.
I recently loaded CCH on a laptop I use when I travel, and was able to get
it to work there just fine, so I've had some recent exposure to loading the
program (which I know is really no big deal - - or at least shouldn't be).
You need to be sure that the file named CCHELPER.DB is located in the same
directory as the program. That's the file that contains all of the database
data and - - I think - - the unique county settings that you established for
each of the web pages on your site.
If you tell me (us) more precisely what you are having problems with, I will
try and help. I do have all the ZIP files saved that I could send along,
although they are also available at the CCH web site.

Subject: [OHGW] Status - Pickaway & Auglaize
Hello Allen and all,
I wanted to write and let you know that I've not abandoned Pickaway and
Auglaize
Counties!!! I am having problems with CCHelper and am not able to
update
my query
pages.
I decided that tonight I would stick with it until I figured out the
problem,
but...I
give up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice but I'm still
stuck.
I searched the archives of CCHelper-L to no avail and now I've written to
CCHelper-L
in hopes that someone can help.
I made updates after the first of the year, so it's not a Y2K
problem...has
anyone
else had similar problems?
Thanks,
Rachel Meyer
