Just a reminder: we already have a set of bylaws, but they are very spare. It is generally
a good idea to keep them small, but there are still some important ways they could be
filled out.
My personal feeling is that the best place to start are some rules to facilitate our
meetings in the "delayed response" environment we are in. That will allow
subsequent actions to proceed more rapidly.
A committee will allow many ideas to be developed in a "smaller" and more
"interested" environment, without the need to run every idea past everyone in
here in OHGenWeb. Once these ideas have been "shaken out" and carefully crafted,
they will necessarily need to be brought to the entire group for possible amendment and
approval.
I also volunteer to be on this committee. However, I don't see a reason to exclude
anyone who wants to participate, and it would be counter-productive to do so.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I believe that it's time we looked at adopting an official set of bylaws to
govern the organization. The time to protect our investment in time and
money is before problems arise, not after.
