Subject: [USGenWeb announcements] Roll out of redesigned and upgraded national site
The new redesign and upgrade of our national pages is now posted at the usual URL:
www.usgenweb.org
The purpose behind the update and revision was to also make the site compatible with the
many mobile devices from which many view our site now that many are using these as you are
at a library, doing research in archives or visiting cemeteries. We hope that you enjoy
the updated site and the changes that have been made. We have also made every attempt to
retain our basic branding for The USGenWeb Projects. There may be some font changes and
the like, but our new National Webmaster and our Assistant Webmaster have done a fabulous
job on the site.
The old site still exists and has not been done away with, but is at a different location.
Please peruse the redesigned site and let me or one of your regional representatives know
if you notice any issues or if we we should look at any other revisions. Just let us know
your thoughts.
I also am thrilled that Marsha Bryant, our National Webmaster, lives in Raleigh, North
Carolina, where the upcoming NGS Conference is presenting this May. If you are available
to volunteer to assist us during the conference, May 10-13, please let us know. Marsha
will be there and talking with those interested in designing websites and she will have a
free genealogy website that she is giving to county coordinators for free if they would
like to use it. We hope to see you at the conference.
I don't know if we will be attending the 2018 conference or not in Grand Rapids,
Michigan in early May, so if you can get to this conference, please be sure to stop by our
booth noted below and say hello to us.
ENJOY!
Denise Wells
National Coordinator 2014-2017
The USGenWeb Project

See us at Booth #428 in Raleigh, NC 10-13 May 2017 NGS Conference - we need volunteers!
Let me know if you would like to assist. Our National Webmaster will be in attendance and
speaking about how to do web design and web pages as well.
And again.... thank you Family Tree Magazine!
