Hello,
Thanks, Denny and Kathy.
I would like to say that I took those pictures with my brand new
Canon camera, which does terrific pictures and does a super job on
documents as well. However, they were taken by my sister with a super
duper professional camera and lens and probably enough resolution to
wallpaper a wall without being grainy. I have now reduced them in
resolution and size using IrfanView, which was recommended by the person
who showed me how to do Find-A-Grave. However, that can be done in Paint
Shop Pro or Picasa or any number of free programs and photo editors. I
had no idea I had to make the pictures the correct size for use on the
net. All the other pictures I have used on my site work fine. I
appreciate the assistance. I really am very very new at all of this.
Now, I wonder if I will use my scanner very much since my camera
(my first digital that works) does such a great job. Glad to get
confirmation on my own thinking.
My final problem with this project seems to be the hover
captions. If you hold the cursor over the pictures, there is a "built"
date I put in there that pops up. It works fine in Internet Explorer,
but it just does not work at all in Firefox or in Chrome. I am not sure
what to do with the code to make it work in the other browsers.
Genially,
Cynthia
