Squeaky Wheels Holly!!!

Everyone, please go ahead and vote. The issue has been resolved and
Lorraine
and I have had our votes accepted without being forced to make any changes
to our pages. It appears it may have been a misinterpretation of the
guidelines/rules.
Holly

I agree Lorraine. Your page does meet the requirement and you and Holly
should be able to vote. It seems that those overseeing the vote are assuming
the copyright and current year must be the copyright year. As I brought this
up before and this is not how the OHGENWEB Guidelines read and if one wants
to enforce the copyright year to be the current year then the guidelines
would need to be changed. Since we are not going to do that anytime soon, we
must adhere to the guidelines as they are currently written.
I know this is not much help and won't change the outcome of the vote but I
will not vote until this is rectified and those with copyright information
and the current year posted on their main page also be allowed to vote. I
urge everyone else to do the same. This has nothing to do with Dale but if
our guidelines can be misinterpreted by those who are supposed to be versed
in this type of thing we need to take control back over this election. It
was nice of someone from outside the state to offer to oversee the election
but if they are using their own flawed judgment to keep people from voting,
remove them. I don't remember having any say in their stepping in. I would
have appreciated having the right to say thanks but no thanks. Just another
reason we really need to tighten up our guidelines.
