I have sent Denny my information privately.
As a former SC (of NYGenWeb) I think having this information is a good idea,
I am reluctant to have it required or "insist" on it.
Request and encourage it yes.

Maybe "insist" was too hard a term but we can pretty much ask for
anything from a prospective CC if we include it in the bylaws. Scott is
right in that we should probably read it to include multiple contact
methods. I am just so used to having multiple email accounts for
genealogy, personal use, business and my Muskingum properties that I
forget that not everyone maybe is as lucky to have an ISP that provides
multiple email accounts if you want them and another ISP that allows you
to have as many as you need and the ability to redirect them to the same
email account so you don't have to open multiple programs to access
email. For the record I use Thunderbird which can access all my email
accounts in the same place except for Yahoo mail which I only use to
stay anonymous and never ever check anyways.
I have no problem giving my phone number for a contact method if it is
kept private and only used as a last resort contact method. If we
include something in the bylaws we can include something about the data
being kept private.
If both email accounts are on the same provider like having two Yahoo or
Google accounts then Scott is right that if they have a problem the
other email account will not work either. But, if one is on Yahoo and
the other is Roadrunner or some other server then the chance of both not
working is cut dramatically and if in that instance you cannot reach
someone, they are probably incapacitated in some way.

Excellent idea, Denny. It would make my job a lot easier.
Objections, anyone?

Dale,
Maybe we need to insist CC's have 2 working email accounts and their snail
mail address on file. Probably wouldn't hurt to get their phone number as
well.
