Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Subject: [OHGEN] Subject: VOTE: Motion 2005-01-2
Date: Tue, 06 Dec 2005 09:24:46 -0500
Scott Anderson moved and Bill Oliver seconded to end discussion on Motion
2005-01-2 and bring it to a vote. There were no objections in the three days
allowed, so *we will now vote on the main motion itself* (see below).
To vote, reply to this e-mail so that it has the same subject. You can
either leave it addressed to the mailing list ohgen-l(a)rootsweb.com, or you
can vote privately off the list by readdressing it to
sandra_quinn(a)alltel.net and *also include* a CC: to these others- _Bill
Oliver recording secretary_ wnoliver(a)worldnet.att.net and _Lorraine
Newsome our ASC_ rainelane(a)sbcglobal.net for assurance of fair counting of
the votes. All three must be included when you send your private ballot for
it to be counted as valid.
Your vote must have either one of the following in the body of the message:
*Yes*
*No*
A Yes is a vote in favor of Motion 2005-01-2.
A No is a vote against Motion 2005-01-2.
Please do not send anything else in your message as it will not be read at
this time.
*You will have TEN days from the time of this message to respond.*

_Motion 2005 01- Section 2_
Be it resolved that the following article be included in the OHGenWeb
Project's bylaws, effective immediately upon approval by a 2/3 majority
of the legal votes cast:
"All votes cast by a member shall be either via an e-mail message they send
to the state mailing list or a secret ballot through the Internet."
