Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Judy,
I've obviously missed some of my cc email ... I had unsubscribed from
several "-L" lists and subscribed to "-D" lists to reduce the number of
extraneous emails I was receiving and still missed it.
I just found out about December voting on OHGenWeb issues. I like the
page "vote.htm" ... it allowed me to find out what I missed.
Do you also have a page of "recommended links" or other common county
coordinator requirements that we could "copy" to county sites? (I
visited "require.htm" and "OHGenWeb" main page but could not determine
if we are allowed to "copy" any information from state-level pages.
An example of the information of which I'm thinking is at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~cogenweb/welcomewagon.htm
Thanks,
Linda
FYI,
Peace, Judy

Hi All,
Well, after several attempts, the voting results are now online.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohgenweb/vote.html .
I put a note in the "About OHGenWeb Project" that lets you know where to
find this link to the voting issues and results.
I have changed a few things around on the web site as well. Just some
minor housekeeping. I am trying to keep the page tied to the "KISS" method
for researchers. I want research on the OHGenWeb page to remain as simple as
possible. It is fine to have many graphics, tables and what-nots on the
county pages, but I feel the state page is only a jumping off place for
people who want to get somewhere and do something.
Peace, Judy
Hi All,
The vote concerning installation of the proposed E-mail Code of Ethics is
over and the results are in.
Total votes = 43
FOR = 31
AGAINST = 8
ABSTAIN = 4
I will be putting the %s and frills online tomorrow.
I want to thank all 43 of you for having shared your feelings on this
issue.
I will be posting this on the election page tomorrow. You can always find
any issues that have been put to a vote by following the link from the
"About OHGenWeb" link or by going to
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohgenweb/vote.htm. Remember, the current vote is
not on that page until tomorrow morning. I'm tired and going to bed.
Ni'tall.
Peace, Judy
Hi All, and especially Peggy Brown,
I have dcbrown(a)tusco.net listed is several places. If this is not correct,
Peggy, please let me know. If it is correct and this is what you were using,
Maggie, then the line-germs attacked again.
Peace, Judy

Judy, I don't think I ever got a ballot. but I vote for the code of ethics.
I HATE government intervention in our lives but feel that there needs to be
some guidelines to this crazy world...
It is a shame that adults have to act the way they do...wonder what they're
like at home? Is it "computer rage"? or are they like that all the time?
Have a great day!

Hi Again,
Well I got it fixed and I think I got things right but if you have a
spare moment could you go over to
http://www.infinet.com/~dzimmerm/Gwen/maps.htm and make sure your county
works and let me know if it does not so I can fix it.
Thanks and sorry for intruding,

Hi Everyone,
Please Bear with me as the map somehow got messed up. I am going to
just redo it but that takes some time so if someone complains just tell
them it is intermittent and will be fixed soon.

I apparently messed up when I voted and marked both yes and no. I'm sorry
for any confusion this may have caused, guess I shouldn't vote so early in
the morning. My ballot should have been marked with a "NO" vote.

Hi All,
Heather, Lawrence County Coordinator, is needing some help with her
county. She is having very limited time due to some health problems and
needs someone to help take up the slack in that county. She NEEDS our
support at this time. Please say yes. She is not looking to give up Lawrence
County, just some leeway until she is back on her feet.
If you are willing to help Heather, at least for a short time, please
give her a buzz at Lawrohio(a)aol.com I will hope to hear soon that someone
has come forward to help her out at this time.
Thank you, all!
Peace, Judy

Jennifer,
There is nothing there but there is a page with an email address to
send them to as in mine. So please just have them submit the info to me
at 73777.25(a)compuserve.com or to go to the OH-FOOTSTEPS
