Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Is there any way to check out if all the Ohio CC's are still
subscribed to the list and then re-invite anyone who is not on the list
to join again. I originally subscribed in the fall of 1996, but
sometime in the fall of 1997 I was dropped. I did not unsubscribe, and
I do not believe messages to me were bouncing since I've had no problems
with any of the many other lists to which I'm subscribed.
I had assumed traffic had simply ceased. Around the holidays I
noticed a message posted to both OHGEN-L and USGENWEB-ALL-L lists and
realized I had only received one copy and had missed the preceding
message posted to OHGEN-L. I resubscribed again in early this year,
but perhaps others have been dropped and do not realize it.
By the way, links to Logan County are okay.
Thanks.

Good point Robert. After everyone checks in about their links, I'll
make sure everyone who didn't check in is still on the list.
Thanx for checking in,
Patty

Maggie Stewart-Zimmerman maintains the clickable map page and would like
everyone to check that page for correctness for each of your counties, the
page is at http://www.infinet.com/~dzimmerm/Gwen/maps.htm.

Patty,
We who have been working with Gwen for a year or more now have gotten used
to these dissappearing acts of Gwen's. Is anyone surprised?

I don't suppose it comes as a surprise to anybody here, considering how
many of you I've heard from, but apparently nobody's managed to track
Gwen down for some time.
So now what?
What seems to be the next step is ascertaining that we really can't find
her...or, of course, finding her. I've been told that the address and
phone number I have is a move or two obsolete (it's circa September
1997).
If we can't track her down, then the next step would be replacing her.
I'm going to be out of town for about a week and a half in April, and
you need somebody who can focus on the situation close up and all the
way through it.
Therefore, the board and I have asked Patty Lindsay to serve as Acting
SC of Ohio to walk y'all thru the process. I've subbed to the list here
just to be around if anyone has specific questions or needs something
forwarded to the board, but I'm sure you guys can handle this just fine.

This list has been very quiet, probably because no one was sure
what was going on. Are there any questions about the "USGenWeb, Inc."
messages that I have forwarded from the USGenWeb All and State
Coordinators list? I've been monitoring the discussion on the SC list
and now we've got Megan's ear <g>, so we ought to be able to get any
questions answered.
The net result of this issue is that we are asking all CC's to change
any links to the USGenWeb project page from www.usgenweb.com to
www.usgenweb.org or www.usgenweb.net. I believe it's very important
to do this, and to do this quickly, so if you've got some doubts
about why and what we're trying to achieve, please air them.
I checked Gwen's pages tonight and the only links I found were to
www.usgenweb.org. If someone finds a usgenweb.com link at
the state level, please let me know.
I also checked my Greene county pages and found that they also linked
to the .org already. I believe I changed them to this back when the
.com address was having trouble, and appears that Gwen may have done
the same thing.
