It's been a while since I've needed help in Wyoming County, but I'm back here
now trying to prove the brotherhood of John H. REDDISH (1787-1841) of Warsaw,
and Nicholas E. REDDISH (1781-1868) of Orangeville.
They both came from Maryland, around the same time (1804-09), and are both
buried at the Warsaw Village Pioneer Cemetery, although I don't know if they are
buried near one another. I have one piece of information that Nicholas E.
was in the same church as Palmer FARGO, brother of John H.'s wife Martha, but I
really have nothing of them together in any documents, not in John H.'s will,
not sure if Nicholas had one, but he outlived John H. anyway. Perhaps his
nephews and nieces mentioned in his will since he appears to not have had many
A researcher in MD suggests that Nicholas remained in MD, although his
marriage date there appears to be too late to be my Nicholas in NY. Any suggestions
on how to find this information? It doesn't appear to be in MD, hoping for
some piece of paper in NY that might indicate their relationship. While I
found some nice things on John H. in Warsaw, I find very little on Nicholas. Did
Orangeville have any sort of "History of Orangeville," like Warsaw, or a
"Who's Who," something with some sort of biography of this Nicholas E.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated, but I am on the west coast so
sources here are limited.
