When Luella Taber died April 7, 1956 in Perry, her obit names a nephew Frank . Armour of Perry and a cousin Mrs. Isabelle Taber Crounse.
I am trying to identify Isabelle Crounse. Her birthday was held at Taberlea, that Taber homestead on May 10th. There is an article in fulton
history newspaper regarding the birthday but not naming family members. Luella was born 6 May 1873 on the family farm to Francis M.
Taber b. 1839 Castile and Susan Robinson. Francis’ father is Stephen D. Taber of Broadalbin, Fulton Co., NY, probably born in Mass.
Jasper Taber was born 1 Oct. 1799 the son of Gideon (1763-1847)Taber and Sarah Hicks (1759-1815).
I don’t have his marriage date. He married Phebe Health 30 Mar. 1792 in Otis, Berskshire Co., Mass. She died 3 Nov. 1863 in Castile, NY per Ancestry. Not proven by me.
Jane b. 9 Feb. 1824 Duanesburg, Schenectady Co., NY [This is where Gideon Taber resided after the Rev. War]’ died in Leicester, Livington Co., NY 2 July 1911 age 87
m. Hiram Richardson.
Eli F. b. 16 Feb. 1826 Collins, Erie Co., NY, m’d 1896 York, Livingston Co. (Ancestry), d. 21 June 1906 Burnett, Wisc.
Statira b. 1828, d. 1902 (ts) buried Leigh Cem., Colfax Co., Neb., m. Naathan S. Hull
Wesson/Weston G. b. 1830, resided Alabama, Genesee Co. 1880
Lovina b. 1886 Livingston Co., NY
dau. m. John Casterline
I have not traced these children. My quest is to learn if the Wyoming Co. Tabers are connected to Gideon of Bristol, Mass. This Taber is supposed to have died in Walworth,
Wayne Co. in 1847. I have not yet proven that. The fultonhistory newspapers follow many of the Wyoming Co. Taber families; descendants of Gideon of Vermont and
Gideon of Bristol, Mass.
