I am looking for the father of a prominent citizen of Middlebury, Wyoming County, Orlando Kelley who was born 1801 in Wardsboro, VT. He became a supervisor and associate judge of Wyoming County. His father, James Kelley, born 1773 VT and died 1855 and is buried next to him in the Dale Cenetery. James did not live in Middlebury, unless he moved there shortly before he died. I need to know where James Kelley lived in 1850 and before. I hope some one can help me. I know that there are still members of this family still living in Wyoming County.
Hi All, I need help with Conner/Connor buried at Arcade's Prospect Hill Cemetery, which is now known as Arcade Rural Cemetery. I'm hoping to find William and Sally (Sarah) Conner deceased bet. 1850-1860. Any assistance with tax, and records... appreciated. Their location in 1850 was China (Arcade), Wyoming Co. Daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Barnett, in Wyoming Co., China Twp 1850-1860+. Listed as Elisabeth and Barney Conner. There was a close association with the family of "Chase". There was a close association with Conner of Sardinia and Holland, Erie County.
Most, if not all, had come from Vermont via MA and NH. I believe all to be descendants of Cornelius Conner first recorded at Salibury, Essex Co., MA in 1659. Any help is very appreciated. First docmented presence of Conner in vicinity follows.
"Obituary Records of Former Residents of Erie County"Conner, John, Clarence, Oct. 29, 1815, 22y. Formerly of Williamstown, Vt.
This would have been Niagara County at the time. John Conner and his family line are known.
