In a message dated 10/4/2004 10:13:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time,
That was a very nice ceremony at the Staten Island Cemetery last
am happy to hear about Lake Cemetery, my Moran family are buried
Ceil, it was a pleasure to meet you again at the Celebration. Thank you for
coming out in support. I am sorry to hear that you also have ancestors
interred in one of the abandoned cemeteries. I am happy that now you are one of us,
As to Lake Cemetery, the Cemetery sign is being installed today at the Forest
Ave entrance (yes, there actually is an entrance on Forest Ave)!
This December FACSI will install a 7 ft Christmas tree at the Forest Avenue
entrance. The local IS 51 school children will decorate the tree with
traditional homemade 1860s ornaments. They will sing Christmas songs from that
period. FACSI will supply hot chocolate/donuts.
We currently have about 20 Civil War Profiles of the Veteran's in Lake,
thanks to Jennifer. We need a base group of people representing Lake Cemetery, its
people and history.
Ceil, I will probably see you sooner than later at the store, are you my Lake
team leader? LOL
