Hi Bill, I don't see an answer to this one. FACSI provided this information so they
would be the ones to contact.
I looked at The Graveyard Shift, by Carolee Inskeep, and it has the "Simonson Family
Burial Ground". (Nothing under Hillyer)
"East of Richmond Avenue, New Springville, Staten Island... The exact location of
this burial ground is not clear... Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries of Staten Island
reports that the cemetery is no longer there."
They refer one to "Davis, William T. 'Homestead Graves.' Proceedings of the
Natural Science Association of Staten Island. New York. Special No. 9, December 1889.
-------------- Original message from "Bill"
I am looking for a Hoffman burial in the Simonson burial ground. The cemetery list reads
"It is owned by DCAS (NYC) but taken care of by the church." Does
anyone know which church?
Does anyone know if it is possible to find a grave there?
