Lynn has generously allowed us to post these burials to the NYRichmo site, and I'm
pleased to announce that they are up!
The new page is http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyrichmo/cemeteries/2ndasbury.html
and it is, of course, linked from our cemeteries page (under Asbury African).
FACSI is a treasure trove of information, which Lynn has bravely been organizing and
transcribing. Please view the FACSI links at the bottom of the new website page.
Don't change the bat-channel! There are more to come!

Upon reviewing old files held by Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries I came across
the following burial records for the obliterated cemetery, known as the Second
Asbury (Zion) African Methodist Episcopoal (AME) Church and Cemetery aka, Old
Slaves Burying Ground/Cherry Lane or Colored Cemetery?that once stood at the
corner of Forest Avenue @ North Avenue.? The site is now a shopping center.? A
bank stands on the property.
