Hello List Members and Holly,
Holly, I must thank you for all the information that
you have posted lately. Some has given me information
on my Simonson ancestors,ie: Wedding gifts ,Oystering
and other misc.clues on their Staten Island lives.
I look forward to your emails and wonder what you'll find next!
I hope someone will know of early records from the Dutch Reform
Church on Staten Island.
I need to find proof of parents of Jemina Wood Enyeart,b.1814.
She married Jacob Simonson,b.1800 and s/o Jacob,Sr.They
married on Jan.1,1832 on Staten Island;it was recorded by the Bergen
DRC.They are my gg-grandparents.Their daug.Frances
Simonson,b Aug 1836 was my grandmother;who married Richard
Cadmus,Bayonne,NJ Nov.1873 in the DRC Bayonne,NJ
Does anyone know if there are early records that may give me
informaton on the parents of Jemina Wood Enyeart,b.1814.
I believe that her "GRANDPARENTS" were Nicholas Enyard,c.22Apr.1768 in
the DRC,SI,NY and Jemina WOOD,b.?And that her father was oneof their
sons!So far I have been unable to locate her parents or siblings.
One more question tonight.Jemina Simonson died Aug.1840.
Where is she buryed?Jacob drowned shortly after her death.
Who would have raised their 4 small children?Any ideas of
where I could find a record ?
