Hello Janet! Fun to see you here.
No, I haven't spoken to Rich because I truly expected others to fill me in on
the details. I'm creating a shell, an overview history of the town, to give us a
sense of place that does not exist here. I followed the Ressique family (I live
on their road) and the Kent family because of the town being named for them and
because I believe the root cellar in my backyard may have belonged to a Kent.
I will talk to Sharyn Pratt at some point and get into the schoolhouse (Kent
Historical Society) to get more information and I'll visit the Mead Cemetery
which I just located yesterday afternoon at the foot of White Pond. Our Town
Clerk has a copy of the Beers map on her wall that I may try to borrow to scan
for the site - THAT would be a cool thing to do.
