I found a note in my pile of records, I was hoping to research.
" 1st Presbyterian Church record Albion, NY (early name Barre, Orleans Co,
Mrs. Laura Bush
Miss Polly Bush
Miss Sophia Bush
Miss Caroline Bush Mar 1, 1861 "
Are there other records for this church, such as marriage, death or
burials. I am looking for parents and siblings of Carloine Bush who married
Charles H. Beach , 28 Aug 1852 or 1851. Caroline Beach was born 17 Oct
1828 and died 23 May 1868 In Murray, Orleans and is buried in Mt. Albion
Cemetery. Charles was a Civil War veteran, but moved on to Elmira, Chemung,
NY and then to Dundee, Yates, NY before dying in Corning, Stueben, NY on 6
If the date on the note is right it couldn't be my Caroline as she
would have been Mrs. Beach by then. How can I check these records to see if
the date was right and also if my Bush family belonged to the Presbyterian
Any suggestions would be apprciated.
Can someone help this lady? Please contact her not the list. Thanks
I would like to find any information on the family of William R H Avery
wife Mary Polly Tousley Avery. They were in the town of Clarendon. I have
little on William, but I do know that his wife Mary was d/o William Tousley
Sr. and Sally (sarah?) Reede. William was born in Jefferson Co. twn of
Ellesbury 1795/96 Dec. I have read somewhere that there were several
Averys' in the clarendon area and I was wondering how and if they were
related. Also according to the book " A history of Clarendon 1810-1888"
there was a man named William who was a fiddle player. These are some of
the Avery names that are listed in the book: William, Charles, Daniel,
Deborah. I do not know exactly what you might need to help me locate
William R H Avery, but if there is anything that you might need to help you
please let me know and I will do what I can.
Thanks in advance
My apologies to the other list members, but I need to forward this along to
Holly, and (believe it or not), I can't find a saved e-mail with her address
on it right now when I need it.
I just received a message from a college student in Michigan, Scott Hanna,
who is descended from Robert and Susan Harmer Canham who came to Orleans
County from England through his grandfather, Wade Hanna. If I remember
correctly, this is Bud's paternal line, isn't it? He found me because I
have just a smidgen of Canham information in my WorldConnect database, as
the some of the other Canhams married one of my grandmother's Plummer
I have responded to him that I'm getting in touch with you and giving you
his e-mail address. I'm sure he would like to hear from you. The address

Subject: Info on your family-full letter-
Let me start by saying that my name is Scott Hanna and I currently attend
Michigan State University. I am right now working on a family history
project and came across your postings on Ancestry Plus which I have come to
take interest in. I found information on Robert and Susan Canham who are
actually my great great great great grandparents. I have actual copies of
birth certificates, death certificates, and also many copies of pension
papers on Robert as well. If you would like to drop me a line at
hannasc2(a)hotmail.com please do so. Your input of where my family and your
family might have crossed would be at highest interest to me. Like i said,
I am not quite sure if these people are related to you, just simply that I
saw your name on the information by these facts stated on this website.
Also if you would like to update that information on that web site, Robert
was born in Dec. 17, 1837 as Susan was born on JUly 7, 1844. I have an
extensive family tree, my grandfather, Wade Hanna made before he died.
There is a lot of information concerning these people along with children
and parents of Robert and Susan Canham. Thank you very much
I am looking for information on a Fandacy Sholes who was born in New
York about 1824. She was the spouse of Clement Emerson from Cayuga
I am wondering if she is related to Charles Sholes who is buried at
Greenwood Cemetery in Kendall.
Many thanks for any assistance...
