Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I'm looking for Catherine YOUNG, b. abt 1923, Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY.
She is the daughter of Charles W. YOUNG, b. 1884, CAN and Mary J. "Mae"
Morgan, b. 1894, NY. Mae died of TB in Aug 1930 and Charles drowned the
next year in a car accident April 1931. The last I could find is that
Catherine went to live with a neighbor, Nellie Goodfriend, on Ann Street in
Watertown after her mother died.
Charles is my great granduncle. His brother, Joseph, was my great
grandfather. They were sons of James A. Young and Beatrice Davis, both of

Yes, the old newspapers are great, but I must warn you that Newspapers are
not always correct and it depends on who gave them the information to their
accuracy. Great Clues to advance with.
Thank you, I will be contacting the Society and see what information I
can find out. I have been doing a lot of research on the Old Fulton Newspaper
site, and have found so many articles that have helped fill in some gaps.

The first hospital was located at 1008 Washington St. Watertown NY and later
was located at Bradley St., Later in 1909 at the Jefferson County Fair a group
of Citizens set up an exhibit and with the help of several influential
citizens and one Eli West Herrick owner of one of the largest flour mills it was
decided that a new hospital be built on 10 acres of land purchased on Coffeen
St., Watertown NY (originally it was requested that a Natural Bridge Site be

I am looking for husbond, children, family of Cathrine or Kathrine, who
in 1919 was living at 137 Flowan (or Flower) Ave W, Watertown, NY.
We have her name and address from an old letter, which do not mention
her last name, but it could be 'von Haven' or 'Vonhaven'.
She is probably the (first) wife of one of my great uncles, Frederick or
Knud von Haven.
