I have been doing a bit of research on Sarah as she is connected to me
through her Joneses and would be happy to share what I know, to date.
I would also ask that anything you might learn about her &/or if you hear
from others interested in this family, you would send it or them 'my way'
Some of this info need to be further verified with adequate source
materials....here's what I have at this time:
Sarah Jones Dann was born 17 May 1832 at Colchester, Delaware County, NY.
Daughter of Ebenezer Dann Jr and Serepta Goodrich.
She died 4 December 1906 and is buried in the Old Downsville Cemetery,
Downsville, Colchester, NY.
She married 13 March 1852 George Signor (various spellings...Signeur,
They had 5 children that I know of:
I know a bit more about them and would like to know more.
Ruby married Levi ____
Darius married Jennie Maxwell
Julia married Will C. Alexander
Lucy married ___ Hanford
Charles married Frances Josephine Kingley
Note: Some of the above was gleaned from studying Sarah's diary.
Sarah's father, Ebenezer Dann, was the son of Ebenezer and Sarah H. Jones.
Sarah H. Jones is my 4th great-grand aunt, daughter of Asa Jones and Rachel
____ (wouldn't I love to know!) of New Canaan, CT, and sister of my 4th
great-grandfather, Josiah Jones.
If you or anyone else researching these families would like to compare
and exchange additional info (now and in the future), please let me know.
[NOTE: I thought I had posted this on the list on June 24th, but I realized
just now - not having received any reply or feedback at all - that, instead,
I had mistakenly sent it directly to "Nancy Smith" - so am forwarding it to
the Delaware list now.]
