a reason why we are not finding many deeds of land ownership recorded during this time
Am particularly interested in Squire Knowles (1786-ca 1866) who was in Walton as early as
1810 and died in Hamden. Do you have any information on him?
Also, I note that you are with the Ulster & Delaware RR HS. Do you have a record of
Squire Knowles' son William Harry Knowles being a Railroad Commissioner. He died ca
1898 in Walton.
