The information dates back about seven years but would not expect any
changes. One of the fine people in the Delaware County Courthouse, in the
Deeds and Records section showed me a map that had all of those old Patents
by the "Owner's" name and the various great lot and regular lot number.
This was overlaid on a newer map that showed the road system with up to date
names. As remembered the map could be ordered from Albany, for some reason
i did not follow up on that. A letter or email to the Courthouse would
probably get you the correct name and address to contact. At times this map
has been displayed on the wall, and was quite large.
There should be a number of folks that are interested. If you do find the
map, please let all of us know, as many of us (myself included) live quite a
distance from old Delhi. I tracked one of my ancestors and found where he
lived down almost to the current farm that way. Most of the rest of the
family there, I already knew the farm or the address for the folks even way
back into the early 1800s.
An early wish for y'all to have a great Merry Christmas. It would be fun to
be back there, borrow a horse and sleigh and give anyone interested a ride
on one of the many side roads....

Subject: [NYDELAWA-L] Town of Franklin Maps
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the various land patent maps
that became parts of the town of Franklin? Such as the Peter Van Brough
Livingston, Clark, Lake, Leroy and Bayard, Walton, Ross, and Babington
Patents? Particularly interested in the Livingston Patent. Believe my
4g grandfather owned a part of Lot 72 in this patent and would like to
determine just where this is located.
