Thanks to all who have been looking around for my John Miller/Hannah Harper
"grandparents" of Delaware County! So far, though, nothing seems to fit.
John and Hannah were born sometime probably 1770's -? as their son Simeon
was born abt 1809. My next thought is perhaps Hannah was John's 2nd wife or
the other way around. I haven't found them in Schoharie County either or
even CT. ugh. It's so frustrating! I can trace other parts of my family
back to the Kings of Ireland, but the area where I live (the Catskill Mts)
and THEY lived, I draw blanks!! ugh again..Thanks again to all for helping!
I wonder why there was a John Miller Harper though.....Local naming
tradition names a child after grandparents/parents, uncles, aunts in those
days...with first and last name. so this John Harper may have been the
nephew of John and Hannah..although neither's name isn't listed
anywhere..(I found this on Rick Harper's genealogy site)...ugh
again...hahaha..I love this stuff...

Know what? Since the Delaware Co Harpers were mostly in Kortright or
Harpersfield per indices, I'd study the Millers up through 1850 in those 2
townships. Here's ancestry.com's 1850 index for those 2
Miller, John Harpersfield, Delaware, NY 1850 N/A
Miller, Walter Kortright, Delaware, NY 1850
Miller, Margaret Kortright, Delaware, NY 1850
John's on page 166 which isn't available right now which probably means
link is broken but you can maybe find that at HeritageQuest.
