I've wondered the same. My own (known) Scottish ancestry in Delaware

suspect, but have no proof that some of the other families in my ancestry
were also Scottish in origin.

I'm wondering if there is any one who may have historical knowledge of why
Delaware County, New York was settlement for so many Scottish immigrants?
