Would love to hear from anyone who attended the one-room school house in
Trout Creek. Some of the classmates I remember were Eugene Higley,
David Fitch, Kathy Decker, David Griffin, Richard Reynolds, and others
who's faces i remember but not the names. Mrs. Mott was our teacher and
we enjoyed a type of education no one can receive now. I remember a Mr.
Boone driving his team of horses pulling a sled with a large hopper on
it to collect maple sap. I remember robbing the ice sickles from the
buckets hanging on the maple trees. I also remember driving the cows
out of the garden before school. Memories live in my mind which have
never faded. Would love to hear from anyone who lives there now or who
attended school and recalls a skinny little kid who had to borrow
mittens his first day at the "new" school. Thanks you!
