The State of NY had census reports for the years 1825, 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865,
1875, and perhaps more. Those up to 1845 named the head of household. The one
for 1855 listed all names and where born. The one for 1865 listed Military
Service. Many reports have become lost.
Copies of the 1855 census for Delaware County are available from LDS.
Microfilm # 0832848 covers Andes - Hancock, and Microfilm # 0832847 covers
Harpersfield - Walton. The Archives for NY State do not have any of these
records, saying all are stored locally at the county level (those not lost).
LDS has not copied other years yet, but may do so.
Does anyone know which State Census reports were saved? More importantly, can
they be accessed?

Have you visited the Delaware County NYGenWeb Site lately?
The FHC has the films for the NYS Census for Delaware County from 1855
thru 1925 as I have used them and plan on getting them again as my
research expands to more names. The 1855/65 & 75 NYS Census sre on two
rolls but the later ones are on one film. Sorry to say the quality on
the 1865 isn't too good, but readable, when I ordered a 2nd copy that
was 100% better. Hope this helps out my fellow Delaware researchers.
