This is for anyone and everyone out there who has Yaple(s) relatives. As we all know,
there are several variations of the spelling, including Yeaple, Yeaples. I know that my
Yaple(s) ancestors came from Andes, NY, however, I cannot connect them.
In the 1855 Census for Andes the family is listed: Smith Yaples, 34, born in Delaware Co,
resident of Andes, 21 years, Mary Ann Yaple, wife of Smith, 34, born in Ulster Co.,
resident of Andes, 21 years, children of the above, Jane E. Yaple, 18, William H. Yaple,
13, Marcus P. Yaple, 11, Margaret M. Yaple, 9, Sylvester L. Yaple, 5, Ira D. Yaple, 3.
In the 1860 census for Andes the family is listed: Smith Yaples, 42, farmer, his wife,
Mary Ann, 42, William H., 19, Marcus, 17, Margaret, 13, Sylvester, 10, Ira, 7, Amanda, 5,
School records show the Smith Yaples family in the Town of Andes school district #9 at
least in 1855, 1856 and 1857.
Smith Yaples' wife was Mary Ann Scott, born in Ulster County.
If anyone has ANYONE of these people in their family history, please let me hear from you.
I especially am trying to find out who Smith's parents and/or siblings were and also,
Mary Ann's family.
Thank you very much
